Hi all,
I am working with an IMX8MP using Kernel version 6.1.1.
I have noticed a rather annoying issue when trying to place the unit to sleep via the following command:
echo mem > /sys/power/state"
After initial boot, this command takes anywhere from 10 to 30 seconds to take place and actually place the unit in low power mode. In the meantime, it is able to respond to terminal commands and perform other actions.
I should note this only ever happens once until power-cycled. In any other case, the CPU enters sleep mode instantaneously. This only happens after initial boot. Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks
Carlos
Hello,
Does this RAM retention mode also supported in the Android OS on IMX8MP evk ?
Hi @cduarte0306,
Thank you for contacting NXP Support.
I have tested the issue on our i.MX8M Plus EVK and it is working fine.
Are you using a custom board?
Have a great day!
I am using a SOM by Karo Electronics with Kernel version 6.1.1.
Did you it as soon as it was power cycled?
Hi @cduarte0306,
Yes, I tested in that situation.
I suggest you review the i.MX Linux Reference Manual section 2.5 Power Management to check a possible misconfiguration in your custom board.
I hope this information will be helpful.
Have a great day!
