I have flashed Android Pie image with support for 1920X1080 HDMI on my IMX8M-4G-DEV board. 

I am facing an issue in booting even after setting the bootargs in the u-boot mode.

Please help me with the same. I shall be grateful for the extended support.

You should attach U-Boot's Environment settings to this ticket for checking: 

Use below command to show all setting in in U-Boot:

$ printenv

As your booting logs, it don't see any settings for  root=/dev/mmcblk0pX

   X may be in below partitions:

"Kernel panic" may be caused by ddr errors, so one can run ddr test

i.MX8 MSCALE SERIES DDR Tool Release (V2.10) 

and and rebuild image using Chapter 4 How to bring up a new MX8MSCALE board MSCALE_DDR_Tool_User_Guide.pdf included in package.

Then try with linux minimal image

linux-imx - i.MX Linux kernel

One additional query, the development successfully booted Android GUI on Dell Monitor supporting the 1920x1080 resolution.

But what if I want to redirect the same display to 4K display? If possible, please let me know by doing some nominal changes.

Looks like the kernel doesn't find init and in the bootargs, there is a space in between "init=/" and "init", which would explain the error...

Remove that space.
