Hi!

Is it possible to configure the PCIe port as a SGMII Interface and connect a PHY to it to establish a connection to the Etnernet?

Thank you!

alas, no - it is not possible to configure the PCIe port as a SGMII Interface.

Hello, Yuri!

That is, the internal content of the PCIe port IMX8* differs from that of the SerDes ports of other CPUs such as LS1043A or S32G?

Then is it possible to use an external Ethernet bridge with the PCIe interface (LAN7430 "Microchip")?

Thank you!

Hello,

i.MX devices do not support the SerDes.
As for external Ethernet bridge with the PCIe interface - it is possible.
Note: customers should adapt Linux driver(s), if needed.

Yuri.

Hello, Yuri

It's a pity, we bought EVAL Board for imx8m, but we had to choose EVAL for S32G2.

We need a "warm" (1-2W) (possibly without a heatsink) CPU with three or four MACs.

Another question: is it possible to choose a power profile CPU by standard means for work without a heatsink and fans (only on a board) on the S32G2, IMX8M?

Thank you!

Hello,

it depends on applications - if heatsink or /and fan are needed.
Thermal estimations, using thermal resistance data in the Datasheet
or thermal models, should be performed.

Yuri.
