Just mentioning that I just ordered an IMX6ULL, and running the stock SD card or even the latest linux kernel, fails to bring up the ethernet ports.
From other posts I was able to deduce that the following patch was required to fix the phy on the revC of the breakout board:

Hope this helps someone, and why is this only present as a shady BSP patch and not inside of the imx kernel?
