hello everyone:

    我在将linux 4.1.15移植到imx6solo得时候,发现一个很奇怪得问题,只要注册hdmi,内核就卡死在hdmi modelist这个地方,设备树配置如下

model = "Freescale i.MX6 RSC-940 board of INDUSTECH";
compatible = "fsl,imx6dl-sabresd","fsl,rsc-940", "fsl,imx6dl";

aliases {
mxcfb0 = &mxcfb0;
mxcfb1 = &mxcfb1;
mxcfb2 = &mxcfb2;
mxcfb3 = &mxcfb3;
};

mxcfb0: fb@0 {
compatible = "fsl,mxc_sdc_fb";
disp_dev = "hdmi";
interface_pix_fmt = "RGB24";
mode_str ="640x480M@60";
default_bpp = <32>;
int_clk = <0>;
late_init = <0>;
status = "okay";
};

mxcfb1: fb@1{
compatible = "fsl,mxc_sdc_fb";
disp_dev = "lcd";
interface_pix_fmt = "RGB24";
mode_str ="CLAA-WVGA";
default_bpp = <32>;
int_clk = <0>;
late_init = <0>;
status = "okay";
};

&hdmi_audio {
status = "okay";
};

&hdmi_cec {
pinctrl-names = "default";
pinctrl-0 = <&pinctrl_hdmi_cec>;
status = "okay";
};

&hdmi_core {
ipu_id = <0>;
disp_id = <1>;
status = "okay";
};

&hdmi_video {
fsl,phy_reg_vlev = <0x0294>;
fsl,phy_reg_cksymtx = <0x800d>;
status = "okay";
};

&mxcfb0 {
status = "okay";
};

&mxcfb1 {
status = "okay";
};

mxc_hdmi 20e0000.hdmi_video: create default modelist

就一直卡在create default modelist这个地方,我看了mxc-hdmi.c源代码,问题出在

/* If not EDID data read, set up default modelist */
dev_info(&hdmi->pdev->dev, "create default modelist\n");

console_lock();

fb_destroy_modelist(&hdmi->fbi->modelist);

好像console_lock()函数后,就出不来了

Hi Mr Li, Mr Joan Xie,

I am also stuck at same issue. After loading the HDMI driver it stuck somewhere in "console_lock()" function in HDMI driver. We are trying to figure out this issue since last three days.

Have you found the root cause of this issue or any solution? If yes, it would be great if you can share the solution or some inputs.

Thanks,

Pratik Manvar

in drivers/video/mxc/mxc_edid.c

const struct fb_videomode mxc_cea_mode[64], you also need to add this video forma, pls check this, and check if you set the correct timing parameter for your format
