My kernel version 3.0.35 and android is 4.3, I need play back a sample rate of 22.05khz on the hdmi audio, but I find the driver didn't support the format, and when I'm forced to modify the driver, the sound will be distorted.

Hi ferdinand

there may be problem with 22.05khz on the hdmi audio since

there is no audio clock carried through the HDMI link, only the pixel clock is used.

Sect.33.4.6.1 CTS Calculation i.MX6DQ Reference Manual shows how it is produced

http://cache.nxp.com/files/soft_dev_tools/doc/support_info/iMX6DQPRM.pdf

Note, 22.05khz also should be provided from i.MX audio interface like SSI, ESAI

please refer to attached Linux Manual Chapter 28 Advanced Linux Sound Architecture

(ALSA) System on a Chip (ASoC) Sound Driver.

Best regards

igor
