IMX6D - HDMI to VGA conversion

Hi all ,

we are working on a custom board based of imx6d and using Android M 6.0.1_1.0.1 BSP version.

Our board has an 7 inch display and uses LVDS interface.The LVDS display is working. We need to mirror the LVDS display contents to a VGA monitor.The screen mirroring is working for HDMI monitor but not for VGA.

We connected our board to  VGA monitor using HDMI to VGA adapter cable. The HDMI driver is unable to read the EDID data from monitor.

Whether imx hdmi driver supports VGA monitor?

Hi Asha

I am afraid imx hdmi driver does not support VGA monitor.

Only "true" HDMI monitor can send EDID information.

May be useful to look at similar description with DVI
