IMX6 solo and DDR3L query

IMX6 solo MMDC running at up to 396 MHz, Our DDR3L chip is 800MHz.

Queries:

1. How the DDR3L chip frequency down converted to 396MHz and interact with IMX6 solo MMDC controller?

2. Shall we change the frequency of DDR3L through Software? if this is yes please provide me the Details which will help us.

 It is needed to configure the DDR3 device for 400 MHz.

Can we change DVFS in kernel can we change the DDR frequecy as per product needs?
