I2D Devices Not detecting...

Hi everyone,

I am using I.MX257 processor. I have connected some devices to i2c bus 2. When i probe the i2c 2 line from linux terminal the devices are not showing up. But when connecting a CRO probe accros SDA line & ground and probing the I2C lines from linux terminal the device are showing up. I dont know what is the reason behind this. Can anyone help me with this.

this may be bad contact or absence of pull-up resistor, please check it.
