Hello, Google Coral Board(I.MX8M) says that,
"All I/O pins on the 40-pin header are powered by the 3.3 V power rail, with a programmable impedance of 40- 255 ohms, and a max current of ~82 mA."
From the datasheet how is it possible to source this current and from the datasheet what I understood is only DDR pins have programmable output.
Q1: Can GPIO pins output impedance be programmable?
Q2: is it valid for i.MX8MM
Q3: How the GPIO pins can source this current?
Hello,
A1: Yes, this feature is the Drive Strength Field (DSE) for 3.3V goes from 40 - 255 Ohm.
A2: One should check information for each processor in their respective reference manual.
A3: This is calculated in terms of buffer impedance, so to say in case of the lower impedance (40 ohm) the maximum current provided is roughly 82.5mA,
Regards,
Aldo.
