Hi,

Now, we use i.MX6 Dual lite, and going to use SRTC function.

Does this SoC have the function to calibrate RTC clock(that is provided from external crystal) accuracy in temp drift point of view?

(It is like TCXO function)

br,

yuji

Hi Karan,

Thanks for your reply.

Regarding this "Calibrating time counter", this function can be calibrate drift which is caused by temperature?

Yuji

Hi Yuji,

In fact, the time drift of the RTC is determined by the temperature drift curve of the external crystal. To fundamentally solve this problem, RTC time compensation needs to be performed according to the temperature drift curve of the external 32.768K crystal. Therefore, the best way is to ask the crystal manufacturer if there is a corresponding plan. For example, if you use EPSON crystals, you need to contact EPSON.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Have a nice day!

Hi Yuji Fuseki ,

Please refer to the iMX6DL Reference Manual Chapter 57: Secure Non-Voltage Storage(SNVS).

You will find a section for "Calibrating the time counter" and SNVS Memory Map/Register Definition for the same.
