How to use i.MXRT1064 with IAR 9.40?

Hi.

I'm using IAR Embedded Workbench 9.40 version.

I'm trying to run lwip_ping_freertos example code on flexspi nor flash memory of MIMXRT1064-EVK.

If I modify the project options as shown in the picture below and download and debug,

IAR4.jpgIAR5.jpgIAR6.jpg

IAR2.jpgIAR3.jpg

the debug Log window displays the message cannot start core 0.

Could you please advise if there is anything else I need to do?

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Kim.

I'm sorry for the late reply.
Download the SDK from the NXP homepage and run .eww file included with the SDK, so it works fine without any problems. However, when I create and run an IAR project using the MCUXpresso Config Tool, the problem occurs. I'll check MCUXpresso Config Tool user manual and i.MXRT1064 reference manual.

Hi @ES_Kim ,

Which CFG tool version and the rt1064 sdk version you are using now?

I use the CFG, MCUXpresso Config Tools v13.1 with SDK_2_13_0_EVK-MIMXRT1064, it works OK.

I think you can try clone from the SDK demo, then rename the project to your own project, this method works OK.

Wish it helps you!

Kerry

Hi @ES_Kim ,

What's the board mode you are using now? You also need to switch the board to the internal boot mode instead of the serial download mode, please check your board boot mode, thanks.

Hi @ES_Kim ,

Which SDK version you are using now?

If you are using the \SDK_2_13_0_EVK-MIMXRT1064, we have tested it, the IAR 9.40.1 can work.

So, please check your board boot situation at first.

Wish it helps you!
