Dear all,

My customer has planned the product which used i.MX6-Solo currently.

They wish to use four x16bit DDR3 (Total 2GB).

They share Data-Bus with CS signal.

Is this way possible?

Are there any problems?

Please let me know the notes in a PCB layout.

Can we be provided with materials, such as the reference schematics?

Best Regards,

George

Hi,

On section 45.4.4.2 “Chip select settings” of the i.MX6S Reference Manual, you could check some examples of DDR addressing.

Regarding reference boards using the i.MX6S, you could take a look to the RIoTboard (uses 16bit DDR3). You could get the schematics at the following link:

https://www.element14.com/community/docs/DOC-65504/l/riotboard-schematics-for-riotboard

On the “Hardware Development Guide for i.MX 6Quad, 6Dual, 6DualLite, 6Solo Families of Applications Processors” document you could find useful information regarding DDR connection information and routing rules. This document is available at the link below:

http://www.nxp.com/files/32bit/doc/user_guide/IMX6DQ6SDLHDG.pdf

Finally, this other link could provide helpful information:

Hope this will be useful for you.
Best regards!
/Carlos
