How to use OpenMP on yocto imx6 poky

I am trying to use OpenMP on the imx6 board. I have added -fopenmp while compiling and it still errs out saying #inlcude<omp.h> not found. Please help.

Hello igor,

               I did look into the link you suggested. I made the necessary changes in local.conf. I still get the same errors when I compile my application. Should I rebuild the whole kernel after making the changes in local.conf? I am new to linux, so excuse me for making any silly mistakes.
