How to support hardware accelerate for VLC on my board with Imx6q ?

I want to play a stream from IP camera with VLC on my board (VAB820) based on IMX6q, is there any patch to support hardware accelerate for VLC? Thanks!!

for streaming using VLC one can look at

VLC is not supported by VPU, one can use it with gstreamer or

write own extension, as answered on

Which BSP is used for your project?

For Android standard Android media player uses the Hardware Acceleration.

Many application comes with dual mode support, one with custom solution and another is Android media player.

You can verify this with VLC.
