We are starting to develop our IMX6UL (9x9mm) shape board, based at PF3000 PMIC.
On your site I can find only design SPF-2816/SPF-2817 based at shape 14x14mm
and with discrete power supplies, which is not some special help for me.
Reading some mails, I have seen that there is design SPF-28865, based at PM3000 just tailored for IMX6UL
but I can't find it.
I have two questions:
1) How to get ref design (SCH and BOM) for SPF-28865 ?
2) I analyzed SPF-2816/SPF-2817 design about RMII (Ethernet) and I saw one unusually interface for RMII.
Practically , in this design there is no typical RMII interface signal ENET_REF_CLK (25 or 50 mhz) which
mainly is coming from external PHY or some clock generator. In this design I have ENET_TX_CLK coming from
IMX6UL towards PHY. I never seen before some type of connection. It seems as one AUX signal out of RMII standard.
I can understand that this signal can be used for external PHY as CLK source, but it is not clear how MAC inside IMX6UL get REF_CLK (25/50 Mhz).
For example, I developed board based at IMX6DL and in this case I had dedicated pin for external REF_CLK but here I can't see it.
Maybe is some way IMX6UL locally generates from main 24mhz via some PLL ??
Could you be so kind to answer to my questions
Regards
Thank your very match.
Unfortunately, I can't see some option for creating service request.
Could you be so kind to show me ?
Thank in advance
Regards
Hi Semir
for obtaining SPF-28865 please create service request.
Regarding IMX6UL ethernet clocks please check sect.
18.7.14 Analog ENET PLL Control Register (CCM_ANALOG_PLL_ENETn)
sect.30.4.2 GPR1 General Purpose Register (IOMUXC_GPR_GPR1)
i.MX6UL Reference Manual for description of ENET_REF_CLK.
