I have connected the cable to debug_port on the imx8mm_evk board to my host machine and while booting the bsp, i am not able to see the logs over the serial port.

Is there any specific setting required to enable the debug_port ?

Hi,

   No special configuration is required.
U904 (MicroUSB connector) on the base board of i.MX8MM-EVK is the debug UART interface, you need to use USB OTG CABLE to connect to your PC usb. Windows will find two com interfaces, one is M4 debug uart; the other is A53 debug uart. Run the teminal software (for example, secureCRT) on windows and connect to the corresponding COM, configure it to 115200 baud rate, you can receive the log of the board startup. In my computer, M4 UART is COM3 and A53 UART is COM4, so I connected COM4 with secureCRT.

Have a nice day!
