How to enable MPlayer with video accelation for MX53

Hi all,

Does anyone has clues for enabling video acceleration for mplayer on MX53?

The default player "Totem" plays very well for HD video.

But I need to use mplayer for my application.  Any clues?

Notes:

1) I have installed mplayer by Synaptic Package Manager, but there is no video acceleration.  I try all the video output drivers with -vo option.

2) I use default Ubuntu SD image (lucid)

Can you use gstreamer with your application as well?
