Hi Team

How to enable I-cache and D-cache on i.MX1060 and i.MX1170?
I looked processor reference manual and AN12077, but I don't know how to set.

  1. Any documents or sample code for it is available?
    I would like sample code.
  2. Can it be set with MCUXpresso Config Tools  (like STM32CubeIDE )?
  3. Does the TCM memory controller have fast mode enabled as the default setting?

-----------------------

Really NXP documents is hard to read. The sentences are uselessly long and information is also lacking. It's hard to find what want to know.

Of course not perfect, but TI, Microchip and ST Micro documents are well organized and easy to read. Supplementary materials are also substantial.

I hope it will be improved.

Hi Kenji,

  1. You can refer to this appnote: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN12042.pdf SDK drivers and CMSIS cache functions are mentioned in this document.
  2. No, unfortunately cache cannot be configured with MCUXpresso Config Tools.
  3. Yes.

Have a great day,

Felipe

Hi @FelipeGarcia -san

The app note helps me, thank you!

And, it is difficult to find the desired documents on NXP website.
I hope it will be improved.
