How to enable Ethernet on MCIMX8QM i.MX 8QuadMax MEK with Android Automotive 12.0.0_1.1.0

Hi,

I have the MCIMX8QM-CPU MEK eval board and the prebuilt image for Android Automotive 12.0.0_1.1.0 flashed into eMMC.  I would like to enable the on-board Ethernet.  I've found an older post (below) describing about applying a patch for enabling Ethernet using previous Android Automotive releases, but would like to know if the same patch still applies to OS version 12.0.0_1.1.0?

I was asking about a specific Android 12 release, but after receiving your response and information I went ahead and installed the newer demo image, automotive-12.0.0_2.1.0_image_8qmek_car2, and now Ethernet is running.  Thanks for your help.  By the way, is the board's assigned IP address visible in the GUI...I didn't notice it?
