How can I stop enabling the iMX7D watchdog?

Hi,

Is there any way to stop the watchdog once it has started running?
I understood there is no way in iMX6 to clear the Watchdog Enable (WDE) bit of the Watchdog Control Register (WCR) in software once it is set.
Is iMX7D the same as iMX6?
