How can I build a minimal rootfs for my imx6ull evk?

This is my third time posting questions to this community. I am basically following this post to install debian jessie on my board. After that I try to compile freeswitch for my board, but it simply doesn't compile on my board.

After that I tried creating my own minimal debian rootfs and I can install and run everything on it. I can tell it's using armhf and compiling everything like it was an ARM architecture, but after I exit chroot, I try doing the exact same thing that I do with the linaro image, I compress it into a .tar.bz2 and then load it into the SD card like the post says, but it doesn't load the rootfs apparently. I got the following output and I think that there is a permission error in my init file that doesn't allow me to boot the image I created. OBS: I had to mount proc inside chroot in order to install some programs, so I umounted it after finished because in the process of creating the .tar.bz2 file it gost stuck in /proc/kmodehttps://github.com/bithollow/bithollow.github.io/wiki/create-minimal-debian-rootfs
