Hi,
I'm facing HDMI blackout issue on IMX6. I'm using linux-3.10.108 kernel version. Back ported IMX DRM patches from linux-4.10 kernel version.
I'm running following weston command
weston --tty=1 -B drm-backend.so -c weston.ini &
When I'm adding gbm-format=rgb565 in weston.ini file, HDMI blackout issue is not observed.
So, Is it always necessary to provide gbm-format=rgb565 in weston.ini file? or this is just a workaround.
Regards,
Vishnu
Hi Vishnu
this linux version and format is not used in nxp bsp releases and
issue may be posted on meta-fsl-arm mailing list, so that someone familiar
with it could try to assist you.

In general it can be debugged using Chapter 16 On-Chip High Definition Multimedia
Interface (HDMI) Driver attached Linux Manual.
Best regards
igor
