GigE Vision camera?

Has anyone used a GigE Vision camera as an input to the iMX6?

If so did you have to write a driver? Or could you just Gstreamer it as an input? Then encode using the VPU?

I know about the errata and the Ethernet bandwidth limit around 400Mbps, so it couldn't support full frame-rate HD video.

Any experience to share?

Thanks.

There is no GigE Vision standard support available for the i.MX6 series processors so far.

Have a great day,

HI benhenricksen

you are right, one can use ethernet camera, probably with smaller fps due

to erratum.

Real time 3D AVM based on 4 HD Ethernet camera at GITEX 2013, Dubai - YouTube

If GigE Vision camera can act as gstreamer server, one can use Gstreamer as an input

on i.MX6 side.
