Gic-v3 Interrupt being blocked on ATF version imx_4.14.98_2.0.0_ga

I am running Multicore Framework in AMP configuration on A-53 cores i.e. Linux master on 1st two core and an RTOS (slave) on the other two.

Interrupts are being generated and received properly when ATF version imx_4.14.78_1.0.0_ga is used. but when we move to ATF version imx_4.14.98_2.0.0_ga the interrupts are being generated from RTOS but somehow are not received on linux side.

Hi Igor,

Thanks for your kind help.

Actually when we use same versions of all the components (u-boot, atf, kernel ) i.e. 4.14.98  , we get this issue.

But if we use 4.14.78 version of atf with 4.14.98 version of u-boot and kernel,  things work fine.

Best Regards,

Abdul Karim.

Hi Abdul

there is no i.MX8QM processor with "silicone rev is B3".

Also since this part is "PRE-PRODUCTION" as described on link

i.MX 8 Family Applications Processor | Arm Cortex-A53/A72/M4 | NXP

it has not full support. Suggest to proceed with help of Commercial Support and Engineering Services | NXP

Best regards
igor

Hi Abdul

issue may be related to version dependency: that is linux version,

scfw version and atf version should be used all as 4.14.98 and not mixed

with 4.14.78 or other versions. Please refer to below link for available patches and scfw revisions:

i.MX Software | NXP

Please also be aware of software dependancy for chip revision

("Production" vs "Samples" and 1.7v refgen) and pmic revision (C1).

Suggest to apply to local marketing office to get more details.

Best regards
igor
