supported chips are described in Linux Manual

(mx53_sabre_tablet_linux.pdf) included in

IMX53_1109_LINUXDOCS_BUNDLE

and i.MX_Android_R10.x_Release_Note.html included in

IMX5X_R10_31_ANDROID_DOCSBUNDLE

such as 3g HuaWei EM750M/E180/E220/E770M (HSPA/WCDMA/GPRS).

For new modules (not mentioned in these documents) you will have to add

support (driver for new module).

BSP is written for specific chips, which

are used on Freescale reference boards.

For other chips one needs to add driver for them.
