Hello
I made a i.MX6 solo + eMMC(4GB, V4.x) board
During a recent kernel update, I changed the board to i.MX6 solo + eMMC(8GB, V5.x)
Only eMMC IC was changed to HW.
(We created a new PCB, but used the original artwork pattern data as it is)
The FW was left unchanged on the bootloader, only the capacity and version of the eMMC was modified, and then FW was downloaded using MFGtool.
However, FW download is completed, but normal booting is not possible.
So, I download FW again, it works normally, but it does not boot normally.
Is it necessary to modify the bootloader ?
Or where should I check when the board has similar symptoms?
Hi Danny
issue may be related to emmc drive strength differencies:
eMMC 8GB to 4GB - crash on linux (yocto) boot
Best regards
igor
