Hi,
Can anyone detail how to electrically isolate the dedicated signals/pins in the i.mx6 processor ?
eg., There is short occurred between 5V signal to i.mx6 pin "U3 -LVDS0_TX1_P". Currently this pin U3 is not used in the design but I believe this 5V may damage this pin over long time. So I am planning to electrically isolate this pin from 5V signal internally in the chip(by firmware). Same way there are other dedicated signals have solder short like this. so in general, is it possible to electrically isolate dedicated signals/pins and how it can be done ?

Hi Vijay
you are right, 5V may damage pin, as it exceed value defined in sect.4.1.1
Absolute Maximum Ratings i.MX6DQ Datasheet

Unfortunately there is no way to electrically isolate such pins.
Best regards
