Does xwayland on i.max8m support LXDE or XFCE？

As described on wayland web site that xwayland has backward compatibility to allow X cliend to run. 

And I have seen that there is "xwayland" in i.max8m yocto project.Here are the commands I used:

DISTRO=fsl-imx-xwayland MACHINE=imx8mqevk source fsl-setup-release.sh -b build-xwayland

bitbake fsl-image-qt5-validation-imx

The question is can X client, or for example LXDE or XFCE, runs on this image?

For the i.MX boards that have a GPU, the imxgpu-viv recipes package the graphic components for each DISTRO – X11, frame buffer (FB), XWayland,Wayland backend, and Weston compositor. The xwayland is support in our BSP. But

For X client, or for LXDE or XFCE you need to realize yourself.

may i take it that xwayland support xfce?but when i run startxfce4,then error.

what is the reason for this?please help me slove this problem.thanks!
