Does the Ethernet Controller on the i.MX 6Solo uses DMA?.

Hi Freescale Community.

We are using the Ethernet Controller of i.MX 6Solo processor and we are not sure if this controller uses DMA in any way.

Could somebody please clarify me if DMA is used by this controller and the purpose of its usage?.

P.D.: We are using the Legacy Buffer Descriptors.

yes i.MX6S ENET module has own DMA engine - "uDMA", one

can find its references in particular in

IMX6SDLRM sect. 23.5.14.1 Enhanced receive buffer descriptor:

"This section discusses the enhanced uDMA receive buffer descriptor..."
