Does i.MX6ULZ or i.MX6ULL support DCP engine for encryption/decryption AES key for encrypted boot? The security reference manual of 6ULL mentioned this but no one is sure.

Hi gusarambula,

Just to clarify, our purpose of DCP is to prevent 3rd party clone our unit by generating an unreadable key that must be matched by the key at the image file side. So is i.MX6ULL's DCP (with HAB?) is capable of performing this security function?

Regards

Hello William Ho,

I hope that this information is still helpful. Yes, the DCP allows to perform HAB for authentication although it does not support encrypted boot.

Hello William Ho,

The i.MX6ULL has Data Co-Processor instead of CAAM.  Same as the i.MX6ULZ.

 My apologies for the inconvenience.

Regards,

P.S. This post has been edited. Initially it stated that the i.MX6ULZ did not have DCP as it was not listed on the Datasheet, but it it present on the i.MX6ULZ and more details can be found on the Reference Manual.
