Dear Sir/Madam,
Hello,
We are developing an IVI/Cluster common hardware platform for commerical cars with i.mqxp based on the MXQXP- MEK board. We consider to connect an LVDS interfaced automotiv grade display ( like Mitsubishi - aa123af01 ).
May be because its OLED display, there is no an LVDS bridge chip in reference design schematics for MX8-DSI-OLED1. On the other hand, I see some discussions for SN65DSI83 on i.mx8 linux driver like (linux-imx/sn65dsi83_drv.c at imx_4.14.78_1.0.0_ga_var01 · varigit/linux-imx · GitHub) . Also I am not expert for DSI-MIPI LVDS standards. So, please help me, If I need to add panel display driver chip like SN65DSI83 between i.mx8qx and tft lcd display panel?
Best regards.
Mehmet Ali Ipin
Hi Mehmet
in general case no, as it has 2 x MIPI-DSI/LVDS Combo PHY
as described in i.MX 8X Family of Applications Processors - Fact Sheet
Best regards
igor
