I'm working on a design with iMX6 that uses DDR3 memory. I'm wondering if it's recommended to do oscilloscope measurements on the DDR3 bus to verify its robustness, or if it is sufficient to just see that it is possible to read and write from it.
Thanks for your help!
Hello Emil,
Well, like the old saying, "the more the merrier"
It would be a good idea to look at the eye diagram to check the strength of the signal.
You could also do the DDR3 stress test for the i.MX6 (attached).
I'm testing a embedded SBC using imx6Q5, with 1G of DDR3. RAM Stress Test failed DSQ cal. What oscilloscope is recommended fro checking eye-diagram?
