Regarding the current consumption of i.MX7, do you have VDD_ARM and VDD_SOC specifications of max value?
We are using i.MX7 in our products. So far, we have produced total of more than 10,000 units, but there is a very large dispersion in the measured current consumption of VDD_ARM and VDD_SOC.
The table below shows the measurement results of two CPU devices with very different currents consumption. These devises are operated under same conditions.

Power source

Normal consumption device

High consumption device

VDD_ARM

3.6mA

13.4mA

VDD_SOC

6.8mA

24.4mA

We would like to know if these currents consumption  are within the specification.

Hi @toshiharu_shimi,

I hope you are doing well.

One can refer to Section 4.1.5 Maximum supply currents of the i.MX7 datasheet which mentions the maximum current of each power rail.

Hi @riteshmpatel,
Thank you for your answer.
Do you have the dispersion(σ) of the following data of current measurements?

toshiharu_shimi_2-1684221991732.png
The following  graphs shows my measured dispersion graphs.
It is different between the first lot of devises 6,000pcs and that after devises 6,000pcs.
About after 6,000 pcs, I can't judge there is a problem or not.

If you need  more information, please let me know.

Thank you.

Hi @toshiharu_shimi,

Unfortunately, we don't have dispersion available for the mentioned table.

Hi @riteshmpatel,
Thank you for your reply.
OK, I understand.
Anyway, I have to judge after lot of 6,000pcs are good or not.
Is there any method to judge these lot are not problem?
Do you think this dispersion meets  specifications of device?

Hi @toshiharu_shimi,

Looking at the maximum current provided in the datasheet, it looks okay.

Thanks & Regards,
