Hi,
I am using device with imx6 processor with
1) linux kernel: 3.18.29
2) openWRT Chaos Calmer.
The issue is, during a kernel panic or crash, no crash logs or the kernel core dump is created. Is there any way to get the logs or the kernel core dump?
In the kernel configuration file, the crash log (CRASHLOG) support is provided only for architectures other than ARM, SPARC, PPC. Is there anyway that we can generate these crash logs for ARM architecture. The dependency to generate crash logs are as below
Symbol: CRASHLOG [=n]
Type : boolean
Prompt: Crash logging
Location:
(1) -> General setup
Defined at init/Kconfig:1282
Depends on: (!NO_BOOTMEM [=y] || HAVE_MEMBLOCK [=y]) && !ARM [=y] && !SPARC && !PPC
Thanks
Hi Pradeep
it is not supported in official linux releases and one can post on OpenWrt wiki:
https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/hardware/soc/soc.freescale.imx
also may be useful to check
