Hi,
I want to control a vehicle which will be connected with the mx53 Quick start Board, from a PC using Wifi connection
It will have to be in real time. I will have sensors in the car which will sent data over the MX53 QSB to a PC,so that the user can decide what to do.
If I purchase:
(mx53 Quick start Board already purchased)
Will I have all hardware needed to move, control speed and direction of the car?
Is it possible to control the car in real time?
Or is it better with:
like Freescale (Figure 8)
Thank you for your time!!
Hi Christos
I think that both options are good, in my opinion
first is preferable since i.MX53 is more powerful
processor and this gives more flexibility to design.
Best regards
igor

Hi Igorpadycov,
the link in my post is false, here is the right one:
The hacker’s trifecta: Freescale TWR-MECH board, i.MX53 Quick Start board and VEX Robotics Figure 8.
In both situations I will use the MX53 QSB.
Does the TWR-mechboard have the same functionality as TFC-shield.?
If I buy the first option, will I have all hardware is needed?
(It is for a project for my university and I have to give to my Professor a list with all hardware needed)
Will I have to connect them like that:
<-> FRDM-KL25Z -> Servo
MX53 QSB
<-> FRDM-KL25Z + Battery -> TFC Shield motor Control Board -> Interface/Motor Driver Board -> DC motors
?
Which ROM is the best to have on the MX53 QSB?
Thanks!
Hi
you can check below
Mechatronics Tower System Module|Freescale
Freescale Cup Shield for the Freedom KL25Z
~igor
Contacted Freescale support
Well the TFC Shield motor Control Board and Interface/Motor Driver Board is the same board, my bad.
If I understood it right I can not connect with USB the i.mx53 QSB to FRDM-KL25Z so that this two boards can communicate, or is it possible?
I want to have an control panel on my pc and track the values of the sensors that will be on my rc-car?
What is the best solution in your opinion.
How I was thinking about it:
have the complete TFC-KIT connected (through FRDM-KL25Z- usb) with the i.mx53 QSB which will have either an wifi or an Xbee that will sent the data to my main PC.
both i.mx53 QSB and FRDM-KL25Z have usb and can communicate
with each other.
