I have been working on getting the ARM DS-5 Tools working with the Freescale BSPs. The tools allow you to debug linux applications.
The attached document describes how to build the BSP for use with the ARM DS-5 debug tools. I have tried this on the i.MX53 Quick Start board and i.MX6 Sabrelite.
