Clarification on NVCC Power Rail Assignments for i.MX95 SoM Design

Hello Team,

We are developing a Som board for an automotive application using the i.MX95 processor. We need clarification on the following points regarding NVCC rail voltages:

  1. Is it acceptable to power the NVCC_AON bank with 3.3 V and the NVCC_GPIO bank with 1.8 V?

  2. For the other NVCC banks (NVCC_SD2, NVCC_WAKEUP, NVCC_CCM_DAP, NVCC_ENET), we are planning to supply 1.8 V.

Could you please confirm whether this configuration is valid and recommended?

Can you please clarify on the above queries.

Regards

Amit

Yes, you can using this design, no problem. Make sure all voltage matching.

If NVCC_SD2 is being used for a dynamically switchable 1.8/3.3 V you can refer to our reference design.

Hi @Rita_Wang

Thank you.

For this processor, we are using the following PMICs:

  • PPF5302AMMAAES
  • PPF5301AMMABES
  • PPF0900AMBA1ES

Please note that PPF5302AMMAAES and PPF5301AMMABES are programmed PMICs.

Could you kindly confirm whether PPF0900AMBA1ES is a programmed PMIC or a non-programmed PMIC?

Thank you for your support.

Regards,

Amit

For the PPF0900AMBA1ES is a non-programmed PMIC, meaning you would need to configure or program its OTP for your application.

Hello Rita_Wang

For the PPF0900AMBA1ES is a non-programmed PMIC, meaning you would need to configure or program its OTP for your application.

  • Is there a reference OTP configuration file (.CFG) available for the i.MX 95 implementation? (LPDDR5).

  • Can NXP provide the default TBB (Try Before Buy) script used for the i.MX 95 Evaluation Kit (EVK)?

  • Are there any known errata for the OTP registers on the 'ES' (Engineering Sample) version of this PMIC compared to the final production silicon?

Regards,

Amit

Thank you, Rita.
Also can you please confirm PPF5302AMMAAES and PPF5301AMMABES these two are programmed or non-programmed PMIC?
