Check on Corrupted PHY ( TJA1100)

Hello,

For PHY TJA1100, if the chip itself has a HW malfunction or corrupted on the level of the HW.

Is there somehow any way or mechanism to know that ?

Thanks for your reply.

I took a look in the Datasheet and the application note, to find that we can test the Transceiver if it still working correctly or not by putting one of the Loop back mode, as shown in screenshot, in my case I need to test the external loop back mode

But there is no mention, what should I do after I put the Trcv in that mode

shall I send a message and then listen on the receive side till I got a reception and compare between the sent and the received one

and check if they are the same.

or what?
