Cannot get Karo TX53 backlight PWM output to turn on

Hello

Are there any tricks to getting the PWM output (GPIO_1_PWM2_PWMO) to output anything other than zero volts other than 

echo 100 > /sys/devices/platform/mxc_pwm.1/pwm-backlight.0/backlight/pwm-backlight.0/brightness

?

The value is being reflected in the actual_brightness file but I get no output from the PWM pin.

I've fixed this. It was a bug in the pwm driver distributed by Karo, which looks like it was broken during customisation. I don't think this bug exists in the mainline kernel.

I would look further into where it crept in but I've got to get back to productive stuff.
