Can we remove the series resistors connected to i.MX6 BOOT_CFG?

Hi community,

Our partner have a question about i.MX6DQ design.

Please see page.21 of SABRE-SD schematics (SPF-27392_C5).

They want to remove the series resistors (RN50x) to reduce a number of parts and board space.

So would you let us know the role of the series resistors and whether these are removable or not?

bus isolation circuit is described on Figure 2-1 and Table 2-2. EIM

recommendations for developer’s boot modes IMX6DQ6SDLHDG

Role RN50x is to avoid shortcircuit when SW6 is switched to GEN_3V3.

Can I tied (Boot Configuration 3 and Boot Configuration 4 signals) directly to the ground?

yes if you are not using these pins for other purposes.
