Hello ,

I have question on DDR4 selection.

Processor datasheet showing DDR4-2400 is supported, but on NXP Eval kit DDR4-3200 (Micron make) is used.

Can I use part with 2400/2666 MT/S for custom board? What will be impact on processing speed as compare to Eval kit ?

Note - I am using i.MX8M Nano Solo part.

Regards,

Sharad

Hello Sharad,

JEDEC compliant DDR memories allow to work at lower speeds so even though the DDR4-3200 is not supported by the i.MX8M Nano, it can work as a DDR4-2400 so you should have pretty much the same performance when using an actual DDR4-2400 DDR.

I hope this helps!
