Can not install GStreamer Daemon on Nitrogen 6X.

Dear all,

Did any one of you try to install GStreamer Daemon (gstd) under Ubuntu Trusty (kernel 3.10)?

I can successfully install an run it on a PC running Ubuntu, but on the Nitrogen board I get this error:

gst-client> Dynamic method failure

I have installed it following this wiki entry: Building gstreamer daemon

The outputs of the ./configure and make are identical to what I see on the PC. Did any one of you try to install it?

Hi again,

Although the error seemed to be related to the Gstreamer Daemon (gstd), the issue was actually related to DBus (which the application uses for message passing).

I ran export ($dbus-launch) and initialized dbus-daemon and that fixed the issue.
