Hi,
our project is using right now with chip LM98620 from TI to bridge a CCD image sensor though LVDS to FPGA. Because of the product iteration, we are considering now to use i.mx8 to replace FPGA. But as I known, i.MX 8 supports not LVDS as camera input. that means we either find a bridge chip to convert LVDS to MIPI CSI-2 or we have to replace LM98620 with anouther chip having MIPI CSI-2 outputs.
it would be really nice, if you can share me some design example or give me some advice how to solve this problem.
Thanks a lot and look forward for your help.
Best Regards
you are correct, i.mx8 couldn't capture lvds as input, if you insist on using this camera, you need convert from lvds to mipi csi
Hi @joanxie
thanks for your reply. Is it possible that I can find a chip converting CCD camera outputs analog signal to MIPI CSI-2? or beside MIPI CSI-2, is there any other interface for camera that i.MX8 can accept?
Best regards
Yujia
imx8 also can accept hdmi as input, for convert chip, maybe you can refer to the ADV chip like
