Dear Sir/Madam,

Can any one tested attached HDMI to VGA supported module with IMx6 Sbresd board with 3.0.35 kernel or other. If so any can help me out to interface this to the sabre board. Your inputs are highly appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Narasimhulu

seems it can be connected to hdmi port of processor as usual hdmi

panel. However specs of this device are needed for providing more detailed answer.

Best regards

Hi Narasimhulu

you should check datasheet of this device for its resolution,

then use appropriate kernel boot parameter like

video=mxcfb0:dev=hdmi,1920x1080M@60,if=RGB24

Hi Igor,

Thanks for the reply. Is there any module which already has tested HDMI to VGA converters before with sabreSD. If so you can suggest accordingly.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Narasimhulu

suggest to check with standard hdmi panel, if it works

then this device should work too. If not, one can post issue on

Can you please check the data-sheet once and can guide where exactly am unable to display using this module on vga display. Is there any hardware compatibility or property to support this kind of external modules to the Imx6 processor. Can you please clear these queries.

Can please give any solution for above points to clear understanding.

Hi Narasimhulu,

It is impossible to give you details based on the spec you send. electrical characteristics are here key.

It may not work just because your HDMI to VGA converter does not match the electrical specs (current).

So please measure the 5V on the HDMI side as it supplies the converter.

Rod
