Hi All,

I am new to building and setting i.mx android bsp image. I have downloaded the i.MX6 Android L5.0.0_1.0.0 BSP Documentation

cd ~/myandroid/

sudo chmod +x ./device/fsl/common/tools/fsl-sdcard-partition.sh

sudo ./device/fsl/common/tools/fsl-sdcard-partition.sh -f imx6q /dev/sdc

The partition and flashing is success and booting is starting but am getting the following error. Please find the below log and kindly guide me in solving the issue.

This is specific to Lollipop, when you are trying to build the images for SD card booting.

You need to follow the steps I mentioned.

Hi All,

The issue was due to some error in disk partitioning and flashing. I tried the same in an older kernel version and booting was success. But unlike other android BSP, am not able to enter commands from console in lollipop. How to set the U-boot environment variables? How to keep alive the screen through command? Please suggest some solution.

thanks and regards,

Arun S

Hi,

The default images that you build works for the eMMC but to boot the image from the SD card, you need to follow the below instructions:

3.4.3 Building Android image for the SD card on the SABRE-SD

Board

The default configuration in the source code package takes internal eMMC as the boot storage. It can be changed to make the

SD card in SD Slot 3 as the boot storage as follows:

remove out/target/product/sabresd_6dq/root directory and boot*.img

remove /out/target/product/sabresd_6dq/recovery directory and recovery*.img

remove /out/target/product/sabresd_6dq/system directory and system*.img

$ make BUILD_TARGET_DEVICE=sd

Follow Section 3.4 to build the images.

For more information please refer to the Android_User_Guide.pdf from the documentation section.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Devaraja,

Thank you for your response. But when i tried the same procedure in another system(Ubuntu 12.04) , everything went well. I am not sure if its some issues with kernel module of my build system.

Thanks and Regards,

Arun S
