Boot over EMMC 5.1 in I.MX8M

Hi,

We are working on the I.MX8M chipset based board. We can see from the datasheet that system having I.MX8M can boot over EMMC 5.0 but we don't see anything for 5.1 version.

Is it possible to boot the system over EMMC 5.1.

If possible then can you please point to the file which needs to update to boot over EMMC 5.1

Hi Dhaval

yes it is possible to boot the system over EMMC 5.1, no additional settings/changes 

are needed, ROM falls to emmc 5.0 mode when booting from emmc 5.1.

Hi Igor,

Thanks a lot for your quick response.

As I understand from your reply is that, system will use the EMMC 5.0 mode even though booting with EMMC 5.1

So booting over EMMC will never use 5.1 but 5.0 only.

Is my understanding correct?
