Audio recording "overun" issue in AC97 codec

Hi all,

We are using imx_"3.14.38_6qp_ga yocto fido" bsp in our custom board.

Here sometimes we are facing issue in audio recording. while recording its showing below print.

"overrun!!! (at least 1.921 ms long)".

command used to record is "arecord -d 10 test.wav". This issue is present only in AC97 audio codec.

Could anybody help me to solve this.

Hello,

   I an afraid the issue  concerns with Linux file system performance.

You may try using SD card of class 10 or /dev/shm node for RAMFS for relatively

short files.
