Android as dom0 in imx8 quadmax mek

I would like to use android as dom0 on xen hypervisor in imx8 quadmax mek. Is it possible to make android as dom0? If so, if somebody have succeeded in booting android as dom0. Could you please help me on what all changes to be done to make it success?

Hello Shabna M,

The Android BSP images are only able to boot with Linux as doman 0, which is how the Xen for Android Project works.

Technically speaking you could boot Android in Dom0, provided that you make the necessary adjustments, which are not trivial (as you can see by the Xen documentation). We do not have documents that could guide you trough these changes as this is not a supported configuration.

Hello Shabna M,

If should be technically possible. However, I haven’t found information on this actual implementation as the Xen Android project approach is often the most common as there is a lot of work already done.
