After switching to USB peripheral mode, Windows fails to recognize 'Gadget Zero'

I want to debug my IMX8MP development board using ADB, so I configured the USB as peripheral. When I connect my computer with a USB cable, I see a device named 'Gadget Zero' in the Device Manager, but it has an exclamation mark. Also, when I use 'adb devices' in the command prompt, I can't find the device. How should I proceed?
